Some spiritual warfare experiences

I thought I would share some experiences I’ve had where I used spiritual warfare, all glory to God.

This one happened sometime in 2018:

I was at my local mall when I saw a mother with a young baby and a man was trying to snatch the baby off her. She was crying and asking him to leave her alone. He kept grabbing at the child with no concern about how his actions might cause the baby to fall. I could sense this man had demons. There were about 50 people crowded around just watching, concerned but not doing anything to help her. There was 1 old man who was trying to talk to the guy, asking him nicely to stop, which didn’t help. A security guard came and tried asking him nicely as well to no avail. Noone intervened and he was clawing at the baby. I was sitting a bit further off with my young babies about 10 metres away. I knew I had to help her, but I couldn’t get in the middle of it while I had my babies with me. So I did some spiritual warfare. I looked at the man and said quietly so no one could hear: “you leave that woman alone now in the name of Jesus!”. The guy (who was facing away from me) swung round and looked (past all those people ) directly at me with a shocked look on his face. He then looked annoyed and walked off in a huff. The demons in him heard me even though I had only whispered. Praise God!

This next one is a recent experience, about a couple weeks ago:

There was a variety type shop next to the supermarket that I regularly go to. It always gave me the creeps walking past it because they had evil things for sale in there like halloween and witchcraft type stuff and it had a bad feeling about it. The owners always gave me the evil eye when I went past too. I never went into that store, ever. Anyway one day I was at the checkout in the supermarket, and I felt like the feeling when you’re being watched. I looked up and saw the man of that creepy store standing outside his shop, looking directly at me through the window. I knew he was trying to curse me. So I looked directly back at him and whispered: may your curses go back on your own head, if God wills it, in Jesus name. I prayed in tongues also. Then I finished at the checkout and went home. The next time I went to the supermarket, a couple days later, that creepy store had all their windows smashed! Then the next time I came back again, the store was closed down and completely empty! Praise God! (edit: read comments below about cursing)

This experience was about 3 or 4 years ago:

I was walking in a shopping mall with my children and I noticed a girl, who was obviously a witch stalking us. She had witch style clothes, hair, jewellery etc. I prayed protection over myself and my children. Anyway, she seemed confident at first, and she was whispering curses at us. She kept popping up out of nowhere and doing this as we were walking around the mall. She got progressively more and more frustrated as she saw her curses were having zero effect on us. She finally walked right in front of us for one last go at it, to no effect, and looked at me angrily and huffed and walked off in anger. We never saw her again. Praise God.

Here’s another one from about 3 years ago:

I was in my backyard and noticed a black crow on my fence, looking at me and squawking at me. It seemed evil. I told it to go in Jesus name and it flew away. I always pray for a hedge of protection around the edge of our property line. One day I was out the front of our house and I saw a black crow flying straight at me, but it suddenly changed direction exactly at the property line and went around the edge and turned the corner to continue around the edge for a bit until it flew up and away. It was like an invisible wall that the crow could see. I saw this a few more times with crows. I also used to see a witch parked on our street. She had witch stickers on her car. I prayed that God would make our home invisible to the enemy and cause them to forget where we lived, and all this stopped happening.

They hate us because of Jesus! But He who is in us is stronger! Don’t be afraid of them! They have to bow down to Jesus and we have the authority over them, that he gave to us. But be aware, and armor up every day, and protection over yourself, and your household. If you could see the angels and power of God around you and in you, you would never be afraid.

I had an experience once, where I woke up in the middle of the night, and I saw a golden warrior angel standing next to our bed. Then I saw a demon trying to attack us, but it couldn’t get past the angel. The angel was just standing there with his arms folded, with full gold armor. He looked strong. The demon didn’t bother the angel at all, the angel didn’t even look at it. I felt safety and peace. There was another time with a similar scenario, but it was Gods wings I saw around us and a demon trying to get through, and it couldn’t. I felt nothing but safe and at peace.

scriptures:

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Luke 10:19

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. – 2 Thes 3.3

Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. – Psalm 57.1

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. – Eph 6.11

Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven. – Luke 10.20

  1. Dear Sister in Christ,

I always rejoice to see a post here from you. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Truly Jesus is stronger than all those who set themselves to be contrary to Him!

I believe there is a place for countering the power of evil with the power of our God – just like police are used to restrain criminals. One thing that has been helpful for me recently is singing a praise song, not loudly, but always afterwards it seems I feel that any “static” which is bothering my soul has subsided or left.

I do remind myself, though, that our Lord taught us:

“Love your enemies, do goodly to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” (Luke 6:28)

He also taught us through the apostle Paul that:

“The struggle for us is not against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world-powers of this darkness, against the spiritual things of evil in the heavenlies.” (Ephesians 6:12)

It is my personal theory that Elisha would have done better had he not cursed the youths that mocked him – but I do not want to judge, because I also have cursed people in irritation or anger.

I am glad to know that you are doing well to share the things of God with others on the internet. Reading this post stirs up Christian affection in me for all the children of God throughout the world. How great the Father’s love for us!

    1. Thank you so much for saying this brother Travis. You are absolutely right, we are not to curse our enemies. I should have explained better, because I know that in general we must not curse, ever, but I think there may be situations when God can lead us to do it, and I felt led to do it in this situation. But I also said if God wills it, just to be safe. I think it was the store that recieved the curse, and Im glad the store itself was cursed and closed down because it was an evil store and I believe it was Gods will for it to be closed down. Hopefully the experience caused the store owner to realise the power of God and change his ways. There is an example where David returned curses to his enemies: “Now may his curses return and cling to him like clothing; may they be tied around him like a belt.” – Psalm 109.19
Its possible that David was in error when he said this though. In Elishas situation, I believe he did it in self defence. It was a group of teenagers or young men that were ganging up on him. Its commonly translated as children, which makes it seem like Elisha was being harsh, but the original hebrew word means young men or teenagers, if Im remembering correctly.
Im glad you brought this up ,thank you!
Amen worship brings Gods presence and it is very powerful against the enemy!
God bless you and your family

  2. Wow amen! I know I’ve tried spiritual warfare in dreams which have distorted strange experiences in dreams such as ghosts and monstrous creatures which are really demons. I also know that satan has felt the effect of my warfare since the moment I use it for my health I am tempted the next morning and attacked. This was very encouraging. Thank you sister God bless you in Jesus name!
