What we do to our Children, we do to Jesus

26 March 2016

I was praying yesterday for help with being a good mum. God has told me over and over that it is the most important thing I should be focusing on right now. I often lose sight of it because it’s so hard, so exhausting, especially with no support and in a world where motherhood is not valued. Well, Jesus appeared to me in a dream last night, so vividly, He said “Inasmuch as you do to one of these little ones, you do to me”. It isn’t the first time He told me this and it’s a perfect reminder. My children are my gift from heaven, they have Holy Spirit in them, they are my ultimate test. How we treat them matters! It is the most important ministry for a Christian parent.

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ – Matthew 25

  1. Oh my goodness.. I never saw that passage in that light! I have a heart for the poor and needy but not always given the opportunity to give. This is perfect and makes beautiful sense. It confirms the same thing the Lord told a sis when she asked what she was here for .. her children ♥️ our children.
They sure are a test of our patience lol but the greatest blessing too ♥️

    1. Amen! Thanks for your comment. If we cant give with money we can give with love, even just a hug or a smile can make someones day.
I forgot to say on this post that there were times when I was busy with my children all day and I said “sorry Lord, I didnt spend time with you today”, and He would say “yes you did!” Spending time with children means so much to Him. There are also times when I’ve been crying and prayed saying I wish you could just be here right now Lord and hug me. Then one of my children will come and hug me and say something nice to me. He works through them as well. Even the cat does it too sometimes haha.
      God bless!
